Too cute for words

Meet Draco and Hemi (like in Hemi motor...he sure purrs like one).  The new additions to the in-law's family.  they wont replace Jake but it will make the kids smile.
RIP Jake

Jake had to be taken to the hospital yesteday.  He was lethargic and had labored breathing.  Today my SIL and BIL had to put him to sleep because he had kidney failure.  Such a sad day.  He brought a lot of joy to my MIL, SIL, BIL and nieces and nephew.
He will be missed.
October is Here
Aside from Summer, October is my favorite month.
Why?
Besides that is our anniversary month.
The winds pick up and you can smell the new season coming in.  There's a bit of chill in the air and it's a reminder that summer is leaving and winter is coming.
I shall enjoy this month.
The Wii is here!
Our Wii just arrived!
We are so excited and can't wait to play it.
I been wanting one since forever. LOL
Pat got me a whole bunch of workout games and some boxing ones.
I'll let you know how good they are.

Sister Day - Glen Ivy

Today we went to Glenn Ivy for a much needed sisters day.  We had so much fun.  We immersed ourselves in some egg smelling jacuzzi, lather ourselves in mud and baked under the sun.  We read and relaxed by the pool and towards the end we got our massages.  I was in heaven.
We couldn't end our night with out having dinner and we ended up at Macaroni Grill.  What I had we decent but since they changed their menu it hasn't been the same.  Nevertheless it was nice to just sit there and chat away.
The San Diego Zoo

Today we visited the San Diego Zoo.  It was one of the last weekends where the park stayed open until 9pm.  We got there at noon thinking we had plenty of time to see the zoo.  Boy were we wrong.  The zoo has grown since the last time I visited and 9 hours was simply not enough time.
Patrick and I had the best time and we need to go back because some of the animals were "no show" but that is to expected.   I have tons of pictures to share that I will post later on.  I am exhausted.

Rancho Palos Verdes Trip

After lunch today I wasn't done being out. It was such a beautiful nice day. So Patrick and I headed over for a cruise to Rancho Palos Verdes to check out that new resort that just opened up in June. The place is amazing and so beautiful. We went down a path and headed down to the beach. It's pretty and secluded little cove. Also we noticed as we were heading towards the ocean we heard this sound that was not familiar to us.  It was serene and very peaceful.  It was the ocean hitting the rocks as the waves came in out.  Pat and I recorded it and once I figured how to link it here I will so you guys can listen.  below are some pictures from the internet.  I haven't had a chance to post mine yet.

We sat there for a while, just listening, smelling and watching the ocean and the animals that happened to show up. It was a nice experience.
Afterwards we were hungry and headed to eat at the restaurant called Nelsons.  What a great place.  We sat outside overlooking the ocean.  Had some great drinks, food and dessert and we watched the sunset.

Lunch with the Day Shift nurses
I had a nice lunch today with some of my day shift nurses at the corner bakery. It sure makes me miss them.
Hung Over
In an effort to try not to be bitter about the stupid project I have to do, I drank way to much. LOL
Actually once we got that out of the way we had a great time. Another nurse came by and all 5 us had a great dinner and some good wines. Now I am just paying for it. LOL
I am going back to bed....
Off to the Beach
Going to hang out with my in-laws today at Bolsa Chica Beach to celebrate Brenna's Birthday. I can't wait, I've been cooked up in this house for way to long....The sun is calling me.

UPDATE: Scratch that idea....the beach was so full they closed it. Wow!
We even tried to go to a park and other public places. Everything was full. Its not even a holiday weekend.
I am bummed and I am double bummed that we can't go later since I have to do this project thing for WM with another nurse. Oh well such is life.

This afternoon, Patrick and I saw this huge fire cloud. It's pretty scary to look at. Tonight we went to the beach and the moon had this weird orange hazy glow. Almost like you were in another planet.
Off to the Hair Salon
I am excited because I get to see my favorite hairstylist, Esmeralda at Carlton Hair. We always have so much fun and most of all I come out looking so good and happy.

Wow, I can't believe it's been over weeks since the incident. sad
I am so not looking forward to go going to work tonight. I am glad one of my friends is working with me. That should make the day go by faster.
